My Summer Plan(夏の計画) (意味が分からない言葉には,マウスを合わせてみてください。訳が表示されます。)

The last article that I wrote was about the spring season in Japan and how I was looking forward to seeing cherry blossoms for the first time. Do you remember?

Anyway, as I sat down to start writing a new article for this web page it suddenly dawned on me that two months from now I will have been living and working in Japan for one year. Crazy, huh? In one sense I feel as though I've been here for a long time, and yet on the other hand it seems like it wasn't all that long ago that I was delivering my self-intro speech to you in the gym here at Nichu. In any event, looking back at almost a year of living in Japan has given me a lot of opportunities to reflect on the various similarities and differences between our cultures and I am curious to see what my impressions of America will be when I go back.

Speaking of which, in the middle of August I'll be flying back to the U.S. for about a week in order to see my family. I'm really excited to see them since this past year marks the longest period that I've been away from home. I plan on spending a lot of time with my sister when I get back. We're going to watch movies, go to a water-park, and go shopping together.

What are your plans for this summer?
